Headlight LED's

Hello everyone! I'm not sure if this is the correct forum to post this, if not I apologize. I was rooting around looking for the JDM headlight assembly and found out that they are about $1400-$1500, which is ridiculous!

So with that I got a hold of the guys at 180 Custom. They are a sponsor for another forum I am a part of. They deal with lighting modification/customization. I can send a link to them of if you google them they should come up. In any case they are willing to duplicate the JDM headlight for about 1/2 of what the manufacturer is charging. They would need a loaner set of headlights to take measurements and see what they would be working with. I'd love to get a group buy going and even get them to sponsor our site!

Of course if you have other ideas for the lights they can certainly entertain them as they are professionals at this stuff. Their work is top notch and is warrantied too!

Im curious as location to them see if they are local and go to shop...and what not...and I relaly like this idea, ill be interested in group buy but cant till September when I replenish my funds.

Hey guys! I guess I wasn't subscribed to my own thread! Sorry about that. @gsilvers, they are located in NY. I am going to try to take some leave so I can send my headlights to him and be the guinea pig. If anyone would like to donate theirs, they are welcome to do so too. I'll update this ASAP. Thanks!

are they going to reproduce the whole headlight? or just the inner housing and we reuse our projectors. Thats really the only reason why the headlights are so expensive.

If they end up doing a complete swap with an aftermarket projector i would lose a lot of interest unless the projector was an upgrade from our current one.

@TinTin, no he won't be reproducing the whole headlight assembly, he just needs it to take measurements and figure out the wiring for customization. On the other forums they offer different configurations like LED parking lights and "ghost eyes" for the lack of a better term. I sent him a photo of the JDM headlight so he has something to work with, but having the assembly there would be better. All the LED's he uses are super bright and of better quality than even Audi. He warranties the whole thing from leaking and fogging up as well and offers extended warranties.

While it is there he said that he will paint it and modify it as well if you want or he can just send it back after taking measurements. Thanks for the reply and for the interest! I trying to figure out what other things we can do to make it more aggressive looking too.

for those interested in the bay area I know a shop that can do this sort of thing. like retrofit to your liking. or if u want u can ship ur headlights but rigging it up to light would be up to u.

I'm currently getting mine retro'd
