Default DPI / Gain Status Exhaust Test Dummy

Well tomorrow I am making the trip up to Dubuque, IA to DPI in order to fab up up the prototype exhaust kit for the CRZ. We are planning on not enlarging the pipe to much because we don't want that ricey sound. So we are sticking with 2in pipe. The kit most likely will consist of a Cat delete pipe (downpipe) and a axle back only. There may be an option for the entire kit at some point, however as of now we don't see the need to replace the entire exhaust. This will also help keep the price down.

I will be taking pictures as we fab the kit tomorrow and post them here. It will be all stainless steel, and DPI makes their own mufflers, so it will not be something off the shelf and should produce an unique sound. We are shooting for something 350Z / Infinity G35ish when complete.

Here are a few pics of his past work:

No, those are just pics of other systems he did. I believe they both may be Audi or VW cars. The CRZ will just be single.

Very good looking work. Using pre-mandrel-bent tubing and tig welding is the only way to make a true free flow exhaust.

Keep us updated!

How close is that 02 sensor to the shield? Just remember how far the motor moves on the factory mounts.
