Default Keypad for keyless entry

Hi everybody!
Does anybody know if Honda makes a keypad for the outside of the car? I'd like to add one, but can only find Ford parts. I want it so I can lock the door, leave the car running and when I come back punch in the code and it unlocks.

Again, quick to post without getting the meaning

OP you want a physical number pad on the outside of the car by the door handle like the ford and Lincoln cars had on years past correct?

Yes, that's exactly what I want. I saw some Ford ones online that don't require any drilling. They just program like a remote and stick onto the car. I'm planning on hiding it on the inside of the gas door so it doesn't ugly up my car. Think it'll work?

That's a little more complicated than what I was looking for, but thanks anyway! I just want to be able to leave the car running and locked, and do no wiring or drilling. That's why the Ford part was so appealing!

Aye.. no worries .. Being able to start/stop (or leave it running) using my handheld or PC in the morning or when in a parking lot is on my wish list.

Will turn it over to North and the other 1%'ers who are (self admitted) much more knowledgeable on these types of issues...

And they ... Rock.. Excellent knowledge base...

even if you do find something that works i think thats a lot of effort just for a little convenience. Youd leave the car running, lock the doors walk away and when you return you'd have to open the fuel door, enter a password, close the fuel door and then get in. May not be worth all the effort. You'd also be wasting gas (its a hybrid so i thought i'd say it) and the car doesnt mind being turned on and off often.

Now as far as finding a system thats compatible, i havent seen anything on the market that comes to mind...

I agree, it is a lot of effort for a seemingly small convenience, but it's mostly so that I can leave my dog in the car w/ it locked, while I run inside for a second. It's way too hot in TX to turn the car off or roll down the windows, even for 5 minutes. Also, I have locked my keys in my car on more than one occasion... so it'd be nice for that too.

I'm still thinking something like this ....

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Viper+-+...&skuId=9516348

...is about the only option for what you are looking for... Based on my understanding of the product .. will allow you to leave lock and then start the car while keeping it locked... 400.00 installed is not cheap.. but .. If I was keeping the Wife's and mine SSM designer dog (kidding) in the car while traveling - stopping - shopping etc .. would be a justifiable investment..
