LED License Plate Lights

I want to install some LED license plate lights on my CR-Z, but I'm not sure what to buy. I bought a pair for my 2001 Insight a while back and they blew most of the fuses. I don't want that to happen to the CR-Z. Has anyone installed these on their CR-Z and if so why brand and bulb size? Thanks for the help.

Sure, buy some 194 led bulbs. White or blue for your preference. I prefer the white. As it's a nice cool white. I usually buy a large pack of like 10. There's always bound to be a dud in the mix. That's why it's good to have a few extra on hand. Also, it's always a good thing to remember if a bulb doesnt work, just turn it around. Sometimes the positive and negative get turned around.

Ebay link for 194 led bulbs.
These are good, huge pack. If you dont want that many, just search around for a smaller pack out there. No real brand. I have generic ebay ones from china. Have no one problem with them yet. I got extra just in case one goes out.

I was thinking the same thing, but thats so bright...and I like it, especially if you have LED brake lights to make contrast better, but if I had that in a blue tint on my blue CRZ it would be quite well more contrasted for my car I think. hmmm maybe when I get to Cali in couple weeks I will order the blue ones and see how those look.
