Default LED Dome Light Install Issue

I got 24 LED panels for each of my dome lights, and they seem to be smaller than what T1R advertises, however I am having trouble fitting them. Any tips on installing these?

Do you have a picture of the connecter or anything?

the connector is fine, it's the LED panel itself that isn't fitting anywhere.

damn... that's a bit much.

I just used a Festoon Bulb with LEDs in it and it's more than bright enough. i have no idea how you're gonna fit that in there so it doesn't move around.

i have festoon now. this one has double sided tape on the back. i could have sworn the T1R kit had LED panels. i was thinking of breaking the side pieces of plastic inside the housing, but i assume those cause the light to spring back when you press it, so maybe not.

Are you having trouble fitting it due to the size? If size is an issue, you can try our LED panel light instead:

$12.99

This panel has 12-SMD 1210 chips and is small enough to fit in most spots. It measures 1.25" in length and 0.78" in width. It includes 3M double sided tape as well.

This is a nice upgrade if you want a soft and subtle interior light, but if you want maximum brightness, go with our 6-SMD D31 Festoon bulbs.

i was using the 6-smd's but found them not bright enough. i would have assumed the 12-smd are brighter since there is twice as many LEDs. is your 12-smd kit $13 for the pair? that seems like a good price. also, why would the 6-smd be more bright?

Yes sir, the 12-SMD Panels are $13 for a pair.

The 6-SMD Festoon bulbs are a bit brighter due to the type of LED chip used vs the 12-SMD Festoon.

The 6-SMD bulbs use 5050 LED chips which are larger chips which produce more output than the 12-SMD bulbs which use 1210 LED chips.

The 1210 LED chips provide about 30-45 lumens of output and the 5050 LED chips provide about 80-100 lumens.

Hope that helps.

It does. I was looking for something that fits that puts out more than 100 lumens. I have the 6-SMD 100 lumen festoons already. Doesn't seem to be anything better than this.
