How difficult was the swap and what are you tuning with? Will Hasport offer mounts for the swap? With year k24?

MAN i wanted to have the first k24 Z lol. Awesome progress guys. And GOOD LORD a super charger too?! i have a couple questions about weight balancing if you wouldnt mind answering a few of them? Mainly about the battery pack and how the center of gravity would change a pretty good amount being removed.

Here's updates of the CR-Z from Hasport. The car is still in Arizona but we should have it back at Eibach very soon. If time permits we will be taking it to Buttonwillow on the 18th of this month.

I have to admit I went into the project with a few misconceptions due to an article I read on how someone else did the swap. After spending some time with the car, I realized there was a better way and no cutting was required. The engine placement looks like this.

Here's a picture of the old engine for comparison.

It turned out to be a little tight up front and an All-In radiator was tucked into the core support for cooling.

The left and right mounts look like this.

Ground clearance is excellent; the CR-Z engine bay is very tall.

BTW you can see the rear engine mount in that picture as well.

And one more update with the 06 Civic Si DC Sports header...

The header almost fit with the engine in the above position, but was hitting the Eibach Swap bar and CRZ steering rack. I made some "custom" adjustments to the mounts which moved the engine back an inch and retried the header. Here are the "custom" modified mounts in the car.

This is as far back I wanted to move the engine. We are getting very close to the cowl heat shield. As you can see the header is close, but clears now.

A stiff rear mount will be needed to keep it from hitting when accelerating, but I know someone who can make one. Now to redesign the mounts.

Update: We should be getting the CR-Z back from Hasport next week. The K24 has been tuned with Hondata and made 215 to the wheels. We're shooting for a January 14th date for track testing at Chuckwalla. This will give us more time to play with the suspension before we take it out.
