Default Spoon motor rib w k&n intake

Has anyone test to see if you can use the spoon motor rib witht the k&n typhoon short ram intake? Fit wise

I'm pretty sure you can't. I don't think the motor rib will fit over the filter, even if you modify the intake box. ITEM9 had the Takeda and modified it so that the motor rib would fit.

^ Agreed. I have the K&N and no, I can't see anyway you could do this. It is designed with heat shield to kinda seal against the hood.. Here's a pic.

What about the AEM cold air intake? I've been curious for awhile now, especially with a few of them coming up in the classifieds

Should be fine. Up top, there isn't any clearance issues, you just need to make sure that there isn't anything too close to the top of the battery because the motor rib just barely clears the battery.

My BLF Cold Air has no problem with clearance. I can't imagine your AEM having any issues with it.

I actually have my modified Takeda for sale if anyone is looking for a short intake that fits with the Spoon motor rib.
