It is my understanding that the T1R is a #1 Cat Delete. Do not think anyone has really considered anything else. It is the same with the Down/Test pipes which are #2 Cat deletes. I supposed in a couple of years if the CR-Z sticks around, someone may put some R&D into something like that - but at this point, the options are a cat-or-no-cat decision.

Regarding your last point about the cat or no cat decisions, we actually though about something for the CRZ recently, stay tuned. I'll be making a thread soon.

As for an update for everyone, the T1R power header is available now! More details can be viewed here as well as purchasing information:

T1R Power Header! **AVAILABLE NOW**

Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.

Thanks.

I know I personaly would love to have a new header/downpipe with high-flow cat. I hate the noise from catless systems and to swap header and downpipe for inspection each year (in the middle of winter) would be a pain in the ass/to expensive.

That does not matter, you still have to have stafty and emissions. You can easy take a hybrid and screw the crap out of it so it has worse emissions then a suercar. By law (I think fed) CATs are required on all calls. Most places just look to see you have a cat and if they don't see one you fail.

I was under the impression that hybrids never have to be smogged or certified

Wow, see I'm new to the hybrid scene but in CA smog kills any street cars made since the mid 70s. Interesting that were more lax with hybrids
