Default Rumor: next gen Fit may get 1.5L+IMA with DCT

AutoNet

According to that Taiwanese auto web site, Honda is working on the next gen Fit (code: 2WF). 1.3L engine will become Atkinson cycle for FE. 1.5L engine will feature IMA and will be pairing with Honda own developed DCT. Since the new platform will be cheaper to build, it is possible to overcome the high cost of DCT.
The new Fit will officially see the world in June 2013. Honda has chosen VW Polo as a benchmark. New styling will go towards sportier and sharper side. (I guess Honda will make it looks more like a hatchback than a "cup-sized" Odyssey.)

We know that Honda is working on a dual clutch for cars. (they already have it for their motorcycles). We also know that the upcoming Acura small sedan will be the last car to use the original IMA system. This makes a lot of sense when you start combining rumors with what we "know".

Honda already has a 1.3L atkinson cycle engine from the 2006-2011 Civic Hybrid and current Insight. A second engine?

I know they are L series engine but I've never known them as atkinson cycle.

Can you point to some technical information to back this up?
The only Honda Atkinson-cycle engine I've found was an experimental unit in 2009.

Honda achieves it during low RPM activity with the engine, the intake valves are held open during the compression stroke. The result is a longer expansion stroke and more energy generated from a given amount of gasoline. It's not textbook atkinson-cycle but the results are similar.

From my understanding this is a similar setup to many other hybrids which are only aktinson-cycle at times due to modified value timing.

I get the idea of the "pseudo" atkinson cycle - that's how Toyota do it I think.
I've just never heard anything about Honda using it.
