Honda is making a BIG mistake with this one. I won't buy a Honda made in Canada. I sure wouldn't buy one made in Mexico.
Good thing my mexican wife doesn't read this forum- I am sure she would go latina all over this comment.

Scotty is handling it, so I will let it be.

Edit; yaeh- it's too racist- jokeing or not. I can't let it stand and I dishonor my wife and kids.

I found during a recent 3 year stay in the Middle East that quality did suffer initially when North American expectations and business practices met Middle Eastern expectations and business practices, but that with time, good will and effort on both sides, things resolve and function quite smoothly. An initial period of adjustment is something we should expect and allow for.
Thanks for the clarification. I figured that is what you meant but I wanted to make sure people weren't getting the wrong idea. SMH at those who still believe terrible stereotypes. I was a middle school teacher in San Diego, and met a lot of phenomenal Mexican parents who raised their kids right, worked two jobs and sent money back home to their families. Hardest working people I know.

Mods doing a good job as usual

So does this new factory means that USDM Fits are gonna be cheaper than before? That could be good news for a lot of potential fit owners.

A bit sad... xenophobic discussion wasn't the intent of starting this thread at all.

Just to open up some minds, and erode some of the ignorant "superior high-quality Japanese manufactured" vs. "shoddy/lazy Latin" stereotypes, you might want to consider that our cars are made in Suzuka, Japan. Suzuka is a Japanese city renowned for its large majority of contracted Latin American automotive workers. In fact, there are so many Latin American workers in Suzuka that the city website is available in Spanish and Portuguese, as well as English and of course Japanese.

Suzuka, Mie Official Website
????

Your own CR-Z was more than likely made by Latin American Honda workers. The modern world is the product of a global culture. Food for thought.

This topic has drifted off far enough and the discussion on the misguided stereo types of a race of people good or bad should have never been started to begin with and the discussion about it should have ended with my last post after I handled it.

Since this is a hot topic and has continued anyway I am forced to lock this thread down.
