Supposed to be a new Honda Beat based on the CR-Z, with a major weight reduction and next gen VTEC engines paired to a DSG. |

I just cant get my hopes up on this. I mean look at honda's track record. It's gonna be the same old story. JDM is gonna get the good version and usdm will undoubtedly get sh!t...
(sorry for the rant, I'm still miffed about the boosted mugen crz)

The issue is that the Honda Beat was a mid-engine RWD platform. Even though I'm not a K-car sort of guy, I would certainly support Honda bringing something really cool like a new version Beat back into the world if it were in fact a new version of the old platform. This, however, like a AWD Front Engine NSX is not exactly what we had in mind.
The New Honda Beat is basically a revamp in Hybrid trim of a M100 Lotus Elan, which also was not really a "Sports Car" in my book.
