This new beat will never be a replacement of the S2K. Even when they give him almost the same look, the beat is a lot smaller than the S2K.

I like it a lot! I do agree it probably wont look as good as the drawings and I also agree the U.S. version will be definitely more watered down than the JDM.

If the car is 80% of that pic its going to be a hit, the chassis tuning and engine are key though. The Lotus Elan referred to earlier was a sports car, just not in the "traditional" sense. I worked at a Lotus dealership back in Michigan before I moved to Chicago and got a drive a few of them, not far but I liked it. Isuzu motor w/turbo and that Lotus tuned suspension, good combo there but the price ($35k+ IIRC back then) was a waaaay too high. Make that Beat weigh about 2200-2300 lbs, 6 speed and have the engine put out somewhere around 150-170 hp with the same amount of torque, GOOD brakes, 17's and less intrusive stability/traction control systems and you'd have a hit IMO!

Atleast they're thinking about it, right
