US Honda production cut by 50% until April 15th

This has not gotten much press in the USA so far, but Honda has cut back on production of all US produced models through 4/15, with a decision to be made later if it will continue.

This much I can say as I have been in meetings every day with executives at my plant (Tier 1 to Honda), it looks like it will continue past that. There are some major hiccups in the supply chain, especially with electronics and paint. We are forecasting to run out of many colors well before the Merrick plant in Japan gets back online.
