yeah its a gps. i KNOW. but is there anything special about it BESIDES it being a gps ? cause i don't need a gps built into my car.
seems like the cr-zs in all three market has this honda satellite navigation thing right ?
yes all markets have it but as far as i know, only in Japan do you get to choose from various GPS systems ie: Gathers, Alpine, etc...

i'm just going to give a list of features from my knowledge of having one in my '06 Si... aside from literally being the best/easy to use GPS on the market out of any OEM Navigation systems... it comes with extra features like:
  • Made by Alpine or Pioneer (i forget which lol)
  • XM built-in (non-navi models come XM-ready but you would still need to purchase additional components to make it work)
  • Bluetooth compatible for phone use
  • Easy to read/select music vs the single-line digital screen... TRUST me this is a really great feature to have
  • Media-card slot reader for SD cards, etc
  • Easier to use (IMO) than an aftermarket out of the box GPS
  • Looks better than the standard radio (personal opinion)
  • Steering wheel buttons for easier use and less distraction
  • Breadcrumbs (cool feature that saves everywhere you've been in case you go off-road and need to backtrack)
  • Harder for thieves to steal and locks up immediately if they do so your personal information/addresses are safe
Acura Navigation gets extra features like
  • Zagat rating for restaurants
  • Real-time weather
  • Real-time traffic
  • HDD for saving music directly to the car

this is a feature i haven't seen in the US but seems to be a new feature for JDM...
  • Automatically view, track, record, and sync your mpg numbers with an online account... hopefully that feature would come here to the US...

that is all i can think of off the top of my head... since the official specs aren't out yet we can't assume everything about it yet... but we can hope that since the CR-Z is supposed to be quite a jump forward for Honda, they might just give the US market some of the Acura/JDM goodies...
